No. You are welcome to come to any class your membership covers each week. There is no need to book or commit to particular days. Plans with a set number of days a week, and the Morning Sessions plan, cover the classes they are named for.
We are here to support every child's journey as best as we can. If your child has been diagnosed with, or is suspected to have, a neurodevelopmental condition, please let us know. Our instructors have experience working with neurodiverse kids and we welcome all children to try our group classes.
If we believe your child is not quite ready for a group setting yet, we will let you know honestly and respectfully, and we can recommend partner facilities that offer a higher level of support, so your child can build the confidence and skills to thrive in a group environment.
Our minimum starting age is 5 years old.
Any comfortable T-shirt and shorts are fine. No special gear is needed and shoes come off at the mats. We will provide everything else needed for your first free trial class.
It depends on the program. We lend you everything you need, free of charge, for your free trial class. If you decide to enrol, our coaches will guide you on the gloves, wraps, shin guards or other gear you need for your training program and where to get them.
We run as a No-Gi (no uniform) kids program. So no special uniforms are needed.
No. To ensure all members are invested in the health and safety of their training partners, we do not offer casual sessions or drop-ins. If you would like to train with us, book a free trial class first.
You are welcome to stop by and watch a class anytime. To join in for a free trial, book online in a minute or book a quick call with us on our website. Booking first makes sure we have a coach ready for you and that we are the right fit.
Absolutely. Our classes are designed for all fitness and experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced students. We structure sessions with a mix of technique drills, optional live sparring, and rest rounds to make sure everyone can train at their own pace. If you're not ready to spar, no problem, just let the coach know and we'll tailor the session to suit your comfort level.
Safety is our top priority. Our coaches work hard to create a safe and supportive training environment and prioritise a gym culture of safe and controlled training. That said, martial arts is a combat sport and occasional bumps and bruises can happen. If you or your child has an existing injury, let the coach know before class so we can adjust training accordingly.
Unfortunately we do not accept government vouchers.
Only for your first 8 weeks. Every membership started on or after 13 October 2026 runs a minimum 8 week term, and after that you can pause or cancel anytime. Time your account spends on pause does not count towards the 8 weeks. Pauses are capped at a total of 12 weeks in any rolling 12-month period.
Any comfortable T-shirt and shorts are fine. No special gear is needed and shoes come off at the mats. We will provide everything else needed for your child's first free trial class.
We understand pause limits can be annoying when life gets busy. The reason is when too many memberships are paused at once, we lose an accurate picture of how many people are actively training, and that figure is what we use to determine how many coaches we roster on (and which coaches). This matters most in our junior classes, where maintaining the right coach-to-student ratio is essential. The limit isn't designed to trap anyone. If you ever need a longer break, you're welcome to cancel once your minimum term is complete.
When you pause your membership, you choose the date you'd like to come back. You can pause in whole weeks, from 1 week at a time, and you can use up to 12 weeks in total in any rolling 12-month period.
When your pause starts, we calculate exactly how many days are left in your current billing period and set that aside as a credit. You won't be charged for time you're not training.
When your membership resumes, that credit is automatically applied to your next payment. If you come back partway through a billing period, you're only charged for the days from your return date to your next billing date; and your credit is taken off that amount. Your regular billing date stays the same throughout.
For example: Say you pay $100 every fortnight, billed on the 1st and the 15th. You pause on the 10th, with 5 days left in your cycle. Because you already paid for those 5 days but won't be training, you receive a $35.71 credit. You come back on the 23rd, which leaves 6 days until your next billing date on the 29th (the fortnight that started on the 15th). Your $35.71 credit is applied against the $42.86 owed for those 6 days of active membership, so your payment on the 29th is $7.15 instead of the usual $100. From the 29th onwards, you're back to your normal $100 every fortnight.
Important notes:
1. Your 12 weeks is a rolling allowance. We look back over the last 12 months and add up the pause you have already used. You're still welcome to cancel your account once your minimum term is complete (accounts must be up to date and paid to be cancelled).
2. Attending a class during a pause automatically resumes billing from that day.
There are two common reasons. Your account may have an overdue payment, as pause and cancel options are hidden while a payment is outstanding. Or you may have used your full pause allowance, which is 12 weeks in any rolling 12-month period. If you have used all 12 weeks, you will need to wait until some of that time falls outside the last 12 months.
If neither of these applies to you, please email us and we will take a look.
No. Each membership will need to be paused individually in our member app.
Unfortunately all memberships are only able to be billed fortnightly.
You can change your billing date yourself in the member app at https://app.leshgofightcentre.com. If you get stuck, email admin@leshgofightcentre.com and we will arrange it for you.
Yes, family discounts are available for families with 3 or more students enrolled simultaneously. Please email admin@leshgofightcentre.com to apply.
Unfortunately we do not accept government vouchers.

You can pause for up to 12 weeks in total in any rolling 12-month period. If you need a longer break than that, we recommend cancelling your membership once your minimum term is complete.
Please note that if you cancel and later rejoin, you will need to pay the sign-up fee again. You will also lose any credits or coupons on your account, along with any founding member or legacy rates you were on.

Every membership started on or after 13 October 2026 includes a minimum term of 8 weeks (memberships started before then have no minimum term). You can pause during the minimum term, but you cannot cancel until it has been served. Time spent on pause does not count towards the minimum term. Once the minimum term is complete you can cancel at any time in the member app at https://app.leshgofightcentre.com. There are no cancellation fees.
Accounts can be paused for up to 12 weeks in total in any rolling 12-month period. You can take that as one long break or split it across several shorter pauses, and there is no waiting period in between. Pauses are booked in whole weeks, with a minimum of one week.
Accounts must be paid up to date before a pause or cancellation can be processed. Any overdue fees may be collected after the pause or cancellation takes effect, without further notice.
Attending a class while your membership is paused, or after cancelling, automatically resumes billing from that day.
Fees stay the same whether you attend or not. Classes and training fees will not be refunded or credited retroactively, regardless of attendance.
Classes missed due to public holidays, gym closures, or scheduling changes are not automatically credited or refunded, including for members on one day per week plans. If your preferred class falls on a public holiday, you are welcome to attend another class your plan covers that week, or make up the missed class the week after.
Cancelling forfeits previous member rates and training credits.
Members who fall into arrears and fail to respond to correspondence (emails and/or calls) may be permanently banned from our facility.
Our member app at https://app.leshgofightcentre.com is our official channel for membership changes: pauses, cancellations, upgrades, downgrades and billing dates. For anything the app cannot do, email admin@leshgofightcentre.com, our official and monitored support channel. While we try to answer SMS and calls, calls and texts to the gym mobile may not receive a response, and we do not respond to messages on social media (Instagram, Facebook etc.).
Members can pause their membership at any time, and cancel once their minimum term is complete, using our member app at https://app.leshgofightcentre.com
In rare circumstances where classes are cancelled (weather, safety, competitions), classes are not refunded.
Pauses cannot be amended retroactively.
Send us an email at admin@leshgofightcentre.com with your updated details.
You can start immediately after completing your enrolment and reading our welcome email (it has some important info in it).

Continued participation at LeshGo Fight Centre is conditional on students (children and adults) being able to train safely, respectfully, and appropriately within a group environment. If a child or adult's behaviour consistently creates safety risks, significantly disrupts classes, or negatively impacts other students’ learning or wellbeing, we may determine that our program is not the right fit for them. In these cases, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate enrolment, with or without notice, at our discretion, without providing a reason.
Creating a safe-to-fail, positive, and pressure-free training environment is extremely important to us. Getting good takes a lot of losing, and we want every student and child to feel completely safe making mistakes. For this reason, filming sparring is strictly prohibited without prior permission from both a coach and your training partner. Separate permission must also be obtained from both parties before posting any footage online.
By enrolling, you acknowledge that martial arts is a contact sport and accept the inherent risks of training.
Do not train while sick, injured, or with any skin infection (including staph or ringworm). Training may only resume once cleared by a medical professional. We cannot issue refunds for training periods missed due to medical issues retroactively. However, you are still welcome to pause your account, or cancel once your minimum term is complete.
All cuts, grazes, and open wounds must be fully covered before training.
Members are responsible for bringing their own hygiene items, including nail clippers, bandages, and sports tape. We do not provide or lend these items.
Remove all jewellery before training, including rings, piercings, watches, earrings, and necklaces.
No shoes on the mats at any time. Shoes must be worn off the mats at all times, especially when entering or exiting the gym. If you arrive without shoes, you may not be permitted to train until your feet are cleaned.
Training without a shirt is not permitted unless specifically approved by a coach for competition preparation.
Being late occasionally is fine. If you consistently arrive late, we may ask you to reassess whether the timetable suits you and whether we are the right gym for you. Coaches will not repeat material that has already been taught for late-arriving students, as this takes time away from students who arrived on time.
Do not interrupt coaches while they are teaching. If you have a question, wait for a natural break in instruction.
Please keep off-the-mat conversations to a whisper while a class is running, and do not talk over coaches who are teaching.
Adults are expected to use appropriate language and conversation topics when children are present in the facility, especially around junior class times.
Do not request security camera footage for specific moves or sparring rounds. We will not provide it.
Members and parents are responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their children to the facility or equipment.
All lost items are placed in the lost property bin. Do not contact coaches or staff at the gym to look for or set aside items. The lost property bin is emptied at the end of each calendar month.
All training gear (gloves, wraps, shin guards, rashguards, shorts etc.) must be washed or aired after every session.
Trial equipment is available for new students. Gym trial equipment may be used for up to 4 weeks after joining. After this period, you are expected to have your own gear. Please ask coaches for more info on where and how to get your own gear.
Take phone calls outside the training area or out of earshot of any running class.
Sometimes, yes. We'll usually consider it if your child is close to the age cut-off and has been training in the younger group for at least 2 years.
Part of the terms you agree to when enrolling a child.
Coaching, yelling out or giving technical advice from the sidelines is strictly prohibited. If you have tips or feedback, please share them during water breaks only. Instructors are trained by management to never allow parents to yell out advice or coach from the sidelines. If instructors have to remind a parent a few times, that parent will receive one official warning via email. Any further breaches will result in immediate and permanent membership termination, without exception. We have seen over-zealous sideline coaching make training very uncomfortable for juniors and seriously damage their confidence, hence the strict rules around this subject.
We appreciate your support and encouragement! However, to help students stay focused, please save all cheering, encouragement, and positive feedback for water breaks only.
Except in the case of a potentially serious injury (which is extremely rare), please do not step onto the mats. Coaches will bring your child to you if they are hurt during class. As children progress in the program and build resilience, coaches will, where appropriate for the child’s level, start to encourage them to work through minor bumps and bruises independently, without the need for parental comfort or support.
This is deliberate, and part of helping students build confidence and resilience. We can completely understand there may be parents who prefer to step in immediately for minor discomforts or injuries. However, our program may not align with those values, as we have found this can undermine the development of confidence, resilience, and independence in our students.
Dropping children off without prior permission from a coach is strictly prohibited. This permission may be revoked at any time if we feel a child requires parental support.
We love seeing parents who want to train with their kids! Training together can be a lot of fun! However, please do not teach your child techniques unless you have trained extensively. We have had situations where parents taught their children moves they saw online that were incorrect, not allowed, or even illegal, which can be extremely unsafe.
If you or your child have any concerns regarding behaviour, safety, or interactions at training, please contact us as soon as possible. All concerns are taken very seriously and will be addressed until an appropriate resolution is reached. To protect the wellbeing, privacy, and dignity of all children, concerns must be raised directly and privately with us via email only.
Parents and carers must not approach or discuss concerns directly with other students or their parents/carers. Please also be mindful of how you speak about other children in the class when discussing training with your child.
For safety and comfort, children must wear appropriate training clothing that provides full coverage during movement. E.g. Students who may be training in a school uniform with a skirt should wear bike shorts or leggings underneath.
Children who are not participating in the current class must remain quiet and seated within direct eyesight of their parent. To allow instructors to give their full focus and attention to students on the mat, parents must ensure that any other children they bring to the training center are calm, quiet, and seated.
No students on the mat before class until they are invited on by instructors.
